Bencana banjir disebabkan oleh banjir dan kelodak serin berlaku hampir setiap tahun. risiko boleh meningkat kerana adanya perubahan iklim berlaku secara semula jadi yang disebabkan oleh pemanasan global. Namun, kerosakan akibat bencana banjir lumpur atau kelodak atau sedimen dapat dikurangkan dengan memahami risiko fenomena kejadian yang sebenar, dan menguruskannya dengan baik di peringkat keluarga dan masyarakat. Masyarakat berupaya melindungi nyawa mereka sendiri dengan baik dan selamat tanpa tindakan yang beremosi dan rasional bagi melawan bahaya. Laporan kajian Banjir Lumpur Gunung Jerai di daerah yan Kedah pada 18 Ogos 2021 memberi gambaran mengenai "teori", "perungkaian penyataan masalah", "cadangan", dan "halatuju" terhadap bencana banjir lumpur atau kelodak atau sedimen. |
