River are lifeblood of many communities, providing essential services such as drinking water, irrigation for agriculture, habitat for diverse species, and recreational opportunities. However, the health of our rivers is under constant threat from pollution, over-extraction, habitat destruction, and the impacts of climate change. Understanding the intricacies of river health and the methods to manage water resources effectively is paramount for ensuring the sustainability of these vital ecosystems. The River Health Index serves as comprehensives tool to evaluate the overall condition of river systems. It integrates various indicators, including water quality. physical of the river, biological, and sociological, to provide a holistic assessment of river health.
